For all of you who know me well it comes as no surpise that Campari is close to my heart. That is why when I found a blog post related to Campari, it's useless to say that it caught my attention. My relation with Campari started even before I moved to Italy in 2005, I guess I started to like Campari just after I turned 18, in 2004. It was love at the first sight.

While living in Milan a year in 2005-2006, I didn't actually know that Campari came originally from there because none of the Milanese friends I had seemed to know it?! Nevertheless, I will never forget the day when I was sitting back in Helsinki in an Italian restaurant called Vespa and suddenly saw an old commercial of Campari where it said "Campari - Milano" on it, and that was when it finally hit me. I couldn't believe it, that after spent one year in Milan nobody told me that my favorite drink, right after Coca Cola, is from Milan!

I remember actually stealing a Campari glass from a nightclub in Milan, just because I was so crazy about them and the glasses were nowhere to be found in shops. In the end, that very same glass got broken in my suitcase on my way back to Finland so it was a lost cause. In 2009 when I was working in an Italian hotel during my internship in Lignano Sabbiadoro, I told the owners of that hotel about my obsession with Campari. I remember vividly how I felt when they gave me six Campari glasses as a present when my internship came to its end. This time, I carried them like a baby in my lap throughout the flight and they are still doing great in our wine cabinet.

Having said this, let me introduce you to the blog post that gave me the idea to write about Campari to you on this Sunday morning.
Milanese blogger Stella wrote some days ago in her blog "The Style Attitude" about Campari's calender presentation for the year 2012 in Milan. According to Stella: "Entitled It’s the end of the world, baby!, this year’s Campari Calendar takes its inspiration from the buzz around the prediction that, according to the ancient Mayan culture, the world as we know will end on 21st December 2012. The pictures are set to take the audience on a stunning visual voyage. Actress and model Milla Jovovich is the protagonist of the 13th edition shoot by Dimtri Daniloff. The Campari Calendar it's a limited edition not for sale: just 9,999 copies."
Have a look at the calender pictures, which is your favorite month?

I wish I liked Campari because I think some of the cocktails centred around it sound amazing, but it's just not to my taste :(. Love all these images though, so beautiful and striking!
