Linnanmäki's light carnival & Missoni's zig zag

Helsinki, 12 degrees

I see that the path of progress has never taken a straight line, but has always been a zigzag course amid the conflicting forces of right and wrong, truth and error, justice and injustice, cruelty and mercy.

What are weekends made out of? Mine has consisted of continuing to get to know our new neighborhood (we have now lived here for three weeks now, yey), voting (we are having municipal elections here), passing by a flea market, preparing wonderful weekends delicacies to eat, watching the lights of the ongoing Light Carnival at Helsinki's amusement park Linnanmäki from our apartment building's rooftop (oh so romantic!) together with my special someone and meeting family and friends.

I've been promising for some time now to share with you the piece I picked up at Lindex when it launched its co-operation with Italian fashion house Missoni. I chose a comfortable and colorful sweater! This is how it looked in the ad campaign and on the runway...

..and these are the two outfits I've created with the sweater so far! I think the sweater has so many beautiful details that it needs something simple to complete the outfit, that is why I have matched it up with one colored pieces; a beige skirt & burgundy tights and burgundy pants. What do you think of the result?

Lindex's and Missoni's co-operation got me inspired about the zig zag pattern. I think people use it far too little! It can be used for almost any occasion! It can be trendy, elegant, eye-catching, warm, fun - you name it!

I think it works the absolute best in bags and sweaters - what do you think? Do you own something with the pattern?

What's your opinion?

  1. love those inspirations! <3
