Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale: 2/2

Helsinki, 20 degrees

As promised, here follows my second blog post about this fall's fashion trends that have impressed me - fall essentials that is! The last post was mainly inspired by street styles, whereas this one is definitely more catwalk inspired. I've used Elle Finland's Collections attachment magazine as an inspirational source for this blog post. Patterns, colors, bags, accessories, jackets, skirts, knits - that's just some of this post's seven highlights! Can you guess the rest? Enjoy!

1) Big giant earrings

First of all, I've been widely inspired by the giant earrings I've been seeing everywhere! I love these ones from Balmain's fall collection 2013. I've picked up different colored metallic earrings that I'll show you in upcoming blog posts.

2) Chain handle bags

My favorite chain handle bags are the vintage ones. I myself found my black little cross-body chain bag earlier this summer, you might remember it from e.g. this blog post.

3) Pastel color wool jackets - inspired by Jonathan Saunders's fall collection 2013

I've never owned a pastel colored wool jacket, but this fall I've gone mad for a light blue one! I've already bought, and am now waiting for it to arrive in the mail! I can't wait to show it to you, even though it's still too warm to use it outside.

4) Satin skirts & woollen knits - inspired by Rochas' & Louis Vuitton' fall collection 2013

I'm a true skirt and dress lover, so no wonder that I fell immediately in love with these charming skirts! I didn't actually own any, but now I've managed to find two in second hand shops so I'll definitely be showing you some satin beauties this fall. I also love the combination of a satin skirt and woollen knits, this fall I'm especially fond of white oversize knits like I mentioned in my previous blog post.

5) Floral patterns - inspired by Lanvin's & Vera Wang's fall collection 2013

The summery floral glory continues in fall as flowers shine in fall patterns. I love floral dresses!

6) Scottish tartan - inspired by Stella Mccartney's & Celine's and Moschino's fall collection 2013

The woollen fabrics that are previously known as parts of men's suits are now also suitable for women! I've recently picked up a red skirt with this red version of the pattern, but I also managed to find a second hand jacket with the bigger pattern found in e.g. Stella Mccartney's fall collection and I'll definitely give it a try.

7) Red color - inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's fall collection 2013

Last, but definitely not least, comes the absolutely stunning fall collection of Dolce Gabbana that inspires me in so many ways! There isn't anything I wouldn't like in this collection. I love the bright color, the decorative materials, the crowns / headpieces and of course, our Finnish top model Suvi Koponen!

  4. I loved all the trends! My latest post states that red is my favorite color, so it's fine! I love Fall as well! Pastel coats, satin skirts, tartan, so many things that I like - only the giant earrings I won't wear, but medium ones! Such a great post as usual, I hope you have fun during autumn! denisesplanet com

  5. hehe, I don't actually put together my fall wardrobe at all but I do have to go through my whole wardrobe and take out everything I don't need anymore to sell and donate my stuff. that way I can also see what do I have for colder days. this week has been hot though and I've only needed my bikini :P
when it comes to your list I must say I noticed those waist-belts in the first photos about earrings. I like waist-belts quite a lot and while layering for autumn I will definitely use some :) and I'm curious about your coat now since I love colours.

    1. Me too, I also go through my closet and make space for new clothes by selling off old ones. I'm happy you liked the waist belt.
