Rising storm - Nouseva Myrsky

Helsinki, 6 degrees

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Commercial collaboration: Nouseva Myrsky / Kaupallinen yhteistyö: Nouseva Myrsky

Being away from home for work for over a week is tough. I found myself homesick the day before yesterday when I saw a video of Helsinki and was reminded of my beautiful home city. I can't explain what it is, but I simply feel so fortunate to live in Helsinki - I love my home town. I had such great experiences and met such lovely people, both in Northern Finland at Levi that I told you about in an earlier blog post here, and Sweden's culinary capital Gothenburg that I'll still write more about, but my heart was longing home after I had been traveling for a week. Recently I collaborated with an interesting Finnish jewelry label called Nouseva Myrsky, directly translated the rising storm, and I thought I would dedicate this blog post to sharing my joy of being home again as well as showcasing some of the beautiful jewelry of Nouseva Myrsky. A new feature of my blog is that it will hereafter be in two languages: English and Finnish.

Tervetuloa uudet lukijat lukemaan blogiani!

Nouseva Myrsky is like I mentioned a Finnish jewelry company that specializes in jewelry that has got its inspiration from the Finnish nature. The company is young; it's only been around since 2010. I recently stumbled upon the label on a jewelry site and immediately was intrigued by its cool design.

Nouseva Myrsky edustaa kotimaista korusuunnittelua Suomen villin luonnon inspiroimana. Nouseva Myrsky sai alkunsa vuonna 2010 nuoren naisen hullutuksesta. Löysin vähän aikaa sitten tuotemerkin ja pidin heti sen omaleimaisesta tyylistä.

Since autumn is already upon us, I fell for the "Rain on me" earrings which remind me of romantic rain. I thought their design was so cute and the earrings would be a perfect addition to my jewelry dresser that you can see here if you've missed it. I loved the fact that they were made out of 100 % up-cycled rubber. I was utterly impressed when I also received the "Decaying Birch" bracelet, which is a feminine bracelet that is sure to be a definite eye-catcher! It's also made out of the same material as the earrings.

Koska eletään jo sateista syksyä, päädyin valitsemaan itselleni Vesisade -korvakorut. Nämä korut suunniteltiin vuonna 2012, jolloin oli poikkeuksellisen sateinen kesä. Korvakoruissa on viisi eripituista ketjua, joihin on yhdistetty pisaroita kierrätetystä kumista. Mielestäni korut olivat oiva lisäys korukokoelmaani, josta kirjoitin tässä blogikirjoituksessa (englanniksi). Ihastuin myös Laho Koivu -rannekoruun, joka saapui paketissani.

I had a great time exploring the autumnal scenery close to our apartment building, the autumn colors had reached Helsinki while I was away - incredible, in merely one week! You can see my new light blue autumn jacket in this blog post. If you missed the blog post where I mentioned that I was going to get one, you can read it here.

Oli ihanaa huomata, että syksy oli saapunut Helsinkiin minun ollessa matkalla. Uskomatonta, että vuodenaika voi tulla niin nopeasti - pelkästään yhden viikon aikana! Aikaisemmin, elokuun puolella, kerroin hankkivani vaaleansinisen takin syksyä varten. Ihastuin pastellisävyisiin takkeihin, kun näin kuvia sellaisista Jonathan Saundersin syksymallistossa. Kirjoitin syksyistä trendeistä tässä blogikirjoituksessa (englanniksi).

If you liked Nouseva Myrsky's jewelry as much as I did, you can get your own through its website. The label is offering a 20% discount for the readers of my blog! By writing the code "Dragonfly" at the cashier, you'll get these reasonably priced jewelry and accessories for even less! What kind of jewelry are you looking for this fall?

Jos pidit Nousevan Myrskyn koruista yhtä paljon kuin minä pidin, voit ostaa niitä yrityksen verkkokaupasta täältä. Saat 20% alennuksen koodilla "Dragonfly"! Minkälaisista koruista sinä haaveilet tänä syksynä?

  4. the first thing I noticed was your baby blue coat. it's so pretty and goes beautifully with your blonde hair. such a great combo! and my second favourite is this bracelet. it's so cool and I would definitely wear it too. sometimes it's quite sad that I don't own a credit card and therefore can't order from foreign online stores. but anyway, it's quite winter-y here in Estonia right now and it seems like early winter is taking over autumn, boo. the wind is just freezing and the weather forecast said it will snow next week.. we'll see.

    1. Thank you Maiken for your lovely feedback! Light blue was a new color for me as I'm still only getting used to the fact that I have blonde hair :) I love the jewelry as well! Like I've mentioned to you before, you should definitely think about getting the card. But you might also email and ask Nouseva Myrsky if you could pay in a different way, I'm sure it's possible.
