Hair accessories

Hair style is the final tip-off whether or not a woman really knows herself.

I recently stumbled upon Fashionising's stunning article about hair accessory trends from the runways for spring 2014. I got so excited about the article that I thought I wanted to share it with you! 2014's hair accessories are all about leather headbands, flowers, bows and golden barrettes!

Flowers / Kukat

Flowers continue to inspire me. This fall I've been mad about floral sweaters, but I'm already looking forward to seeing flowers attach to hair in springtime. Among the floral hair accessories presented on Fashionising, my favorites were hippie flower headbands, flower blossoms, iridescent flowers, flower barrettes and flower pins! How romantic!

En yksinkertaisesti saa tarpeekseni kukista! Tämän syksyn aikana olen ahkerasti käyttänyt kukkaneulettani, mutta odotan jo kovasti ensi kevään kukallisia hiuskoristeita. Tulevista kukka-asusteista pidän erityisesti hippityylisistä hiuspannoista ja kukkapinneistä! Miten romanttisia ne ovatkaan!

Headbands & Golden barrettes / Hiuspannat & Hiuskorut

Fashionising's article showcased luxurious jewel headbands, retro blue ribbon headbands and graphic golden barrettes that won me over!

Fashionisingin artikkeli esitteli myös upeita koristeellisia luksushiuspantoja, retroja rusettipantoja ja kauniita metallisia hiuskoruja ja hiuslenkkejä, josta en voinut olla tykkäämättä!

Leather / Nahka

I was thrilled when I saw all the super-chic leather hair accessories presented on Fashionising! How edgy aren't these? My favorites were leather embellished headbands, delicate leather ties, and leather bands.

Olin onneissani kun näin kaikki huikeat nahka-asusteet, jotka Fashionisingin artkkeli esitteli! Suosikkini olivat nahkahiuspannat ja nahkaiset hiuslenkit ja koristeet.

Which of these trends attract you?

Mikä näistä trendeistä on sinun suosikkisi?

Finally, I wanted to mention that today we're celebrating Finnish Father's Day and as those of you who follow me on Instragram already saw, I visited my dad at the cemetery. You might be gone dad, but you'll never be forgotten!

  3. this was definitely an interesting post full of pretty photos and beautiful details. I enjoyed it. but I tend to think I didn't see anything new because all those things have been in the stores for months, some even for years. at least here in Estonian stores :) flowers, studs, leather, bows - I have seen them all in Seppälä, Lindex and many other popular stores. what I learned was that I should use more scarves and make bows out of my delicate silk scarves. if not this year then spring should be the right time for it for sure :)

    1. Really? The only thing we've had here in Helsinki out of these trends are the barrettes, and they have been much smaller, so everything here was new for me! I haven't seen any hair accessories like this. Sure I've seen flowers, studs and leather in clothing, but not hair accessories. Bows have been around, but not just like this.

  4. First of all, I love that you write the degrees on the blog (always liked, but didn;t tell you!) Second, I love all the sorts of hair accessories and flowers above all - so your post comes right to me! Very beautiful pictures! You can see on my posts, all the time I am wearing different head bands or hair clips! Third, and for me the most important, you brought tears to my eyes. No joke. It's so nice that you went to the cemetery. I disagree with you that your father is gone - he lives, through you. But I know what you mean, I also say mine is gone. I don't say this to many people, neither do I write this. Some people tend to see the blog as superficial - but it helped me so much to get up everyday and dress nyself after he left me. The most terrible things is that some months after it happened, my mother was gone too. I guess they couldn't be far from each other. But I try my best to keep my mind strong for 2 years now! Hope you have a great week! I loved your post! denisesplanet com

    1. Thank you Denise for your kind words! I really appreciate them! I'm happy you like my style of writing. It's something I really love. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me, I cherish your words. I really do miss my father every day, and of course you're right, he's always with me, but I like to go to from time to time to the cemetery to visit the place where he's resting now. It's funny how there's still so many things that remind me of him, even some of the new things I experience and see. In that way, I sometimes really feel that there's a part of him in me. You should be proud of yourself, two years is a long time to keep strong! I haven't reached even one year yet...
