Midsummer: Sipoo, Finland

Helsinki, 14 degrees

So we grew together like to a double cherry, seeming parted, but yet an union in partition, two lovely berries molded on one stem.

Last weekend I spent my Midsummer Eve and Day at my boyfriend's family summer house on an island in front of Sipoo, a city nearby Helsinki. It was a relaxed weekend with disc golf, good food and beautiful scenery. This girl was happy because she could go on some boat rides on the sea. Smoked salmon, new potatoes, boiled eggs, fresh vegetables, floral crowns and dresses, Atlantic herring, bonfires, love, the archipelago, sea, sky = love! That's what Midsummer is all about for me!

Tästä minun juhannukseni on tehty!

What would be your Midsummer's night's dream?

Millainen olisi teidän kesäyön unelma?

What's your opinion?

  3. hehe, I could see some Estonian beer on the table ;) which, by the way, looks absolutely delicious and beautiful, very festive! so does your outfit. I like the contrasty combo of black and bright flowers very very much!
our Midsummer was not that special though. we barbecued, drank some beer and made a small bonfire. and all that at our own home since we didn't feel like going out :)
