The perfect reusable Christmas calendar: In the Snow by Danish Fabelab

Helsinki, 2 degrees

Forever is composed of nows.
This November I discovered a Christmas calendar that was too good to pass by! As my toddler girl turns 1½ years in one week, she is definitely more into calendars than she was last year. Since the beginning of December, she has been eagerly awaiting to open the surprises each day brings.

When I started looking for a Christmas calendar, I personally liked the idea of finding a reusable one, as I think they create a tradition in a family, being used several times. They are also usually of better quality and have a story.

The imaginative story of our perfect Christmas calendar is one of the characters that play a role in a Nordic winter wonderland! Danish Fabelab's In the Snow Christmas calendar consists out of 24 pockets that can be filled with small gifts. As my daughter loves hand puppets, I knew this calendar would be of her liking! After opening each pocket, you can then turn them inside out and discover a little character that is a part of a winter wonderland. I bought the lovely calendar from Finnish Emma's & Mama's.

Kankainen joulukalenteri, jonka löysin, muuttuu kauniiksi talven ihmemaaksi! Tanskalaisen Fabelabin In the Snow -joulukalenteri koostuu 24 taskusta, joita voi täyttää pienillä yllätyksillä, herkuilla tai tarinoilla. Ostin kalenterin kotimaiselta Emma's & Mama's -verkkokaupasta.

The Christmas calendar comes with a string, but I combined it with the iron mesh mood board that I showcased in this earlier blog post.

My fiance also found a great Moomin Christmas calendar at the local Book Fair that includes 24 small Moomin books! The books are ideal for pram rides, and my toddler girl loves them so even though the calendar can't be used again, the books are timeless! My daughter's calendar is in Swedish, but I've also seen it in Finnish.

What kind of Christmas calendars do you like? Do you have a reusable one?

Minkälaisista joulukalentereista sinä pidät? Pidätkö uudelleenkäytettävistä kalentereista?
