Nordic Bloggers' Experience 2015 2/2

Helsinki, -1 degrees

I think that we are like stars. Something happens to burst us open; but when we burst open and think we are dying; we’re actually turning into a supernova. And then when we look at ourselves again, we see that we’re suddenly more beautiful than we ever were before!

Once more, I'll take you down memory lane and tell you something more (if you missed my previous blog post about the trip, you'll find it here) about the international blog trip I co-hosted last week called Nordic Bloggers' Experience. People many times say that you have to go far to see close, but sometimes you can also see close by experiencing it in the company of someone from far. That is what the second NBE blog trip has taught me. I have now worked with international bloggers for about four years and these years have taught me to see Helsinki in a completely different way. I have experienced its four elements - water, air, earth and fire many times, but it always continues to amaze me. I know that I have a deep love for this city, and I'm thankful for all the dates I've had with it. You're my best date ever, Helsinki!

Olet ehdottomasti paras treffikumppani Helsinki!

This blog post showcases photos from the days we spent at MATKA, the Nordic Travel Fair (spot me in the green/black dress by Ivana Helsinki), but also Radisson Blu hotels (as they were our partner throughout this blog trip) and the farewell dinner and karaoke party I organized for the bloggers during their last night in Helsinki (spot me in the white dress). The widely popular farewell dinner & karaoke party was held at Best Western Hotel Rantapuisto. The upcoming Finnish movie Nuotin vierestä has been filmed there, so cool! I must mentioned the wonderful glow glasses we received from Hohtogolf West Coast as they really raised the atmosphere at the party! The last photo is taken at a very late after party at local legendary Prkl Club, a club concentrated on rock and metal music that some of the local bloggers wanted to show our visiting international bloggers.

Tässä blogikirjoituksessa pääset näkemään valokuvia Matkamessuilta (löydät minut vihermustasta Ivana Helsinki -mekosta), Radisson Blu -hotelleilta (NBE-blogmatkan kumppani) ja jäähyväis- ja karaokejuhlasta. Järjestämässäni jäähyväis- ja karaokejuhlassa minulla on valkoinen mekko päällä. Suosittu jäähyväis- ja karaokejuhla järjestettiin Best Western Hotel Rantapuistossa, ja paikkaa voin lämpimästi suositella! Siellä on myös kuvattu tulevaa Nuotin vierestä -elokuvaa, aika hurjaa! Tässä vaiheessa minun on pakko mainita hohtolasit, joita saimme Hohtogolf West Coastilta koska toimivat piste i:n päällä juhlissa ja tekivät tunnelmasta juuri oikean! Viimeinen kuva on legenadaarisesta Prkl Clubilta, johon yksi emännistämme halusi viedä kansainvälisiä bloggaajia kuntelemaan kotimaista rock- ja metallimusiikkia.

These photos are taken by the very talented travel bloggers that create Fotostrasse, Machbel and the Crowded Planet and the video is made by many bloggers but edited and finalized by Nella behind the Finnish travel blog Kaukokaipuu.

Can you spot me, in the end of the video, singing the Beatles' Hey Jude with the bloggers?

Löydätkö minut videosta laulamassa the Beatlesin Hey Jude -biisiä yhdessä bloggareiden kanssa?

What's your opinion?

  1. that's a cool little event you'll had. The closest thing that might have something like that around here is a 3 hour car drive away to Atlanta.
